Undeb Theatre was founded in 2009 by Artistic Directors, Tom Cullen & Alexander Vlahos. The resident theatre company of the Cardiff Arts Institute, dedicated to bringing quality work to new audiences at non-theatre venues.

Undeb started because we we're frustrated at the lack of theatre that spoke to us; it was expensive, irrelevant & boring. Theatre that our mates didn't want to see; pretentious and intimidating. For us its all about the event, a night out where you can relax, drink, dance, chat & watch some excellent theatre.

We aim to:

Workshop full length plays with new writers, directors and actors;

Offer the opportunity for first time young writers to develop their work;

Start an outreach project in local areas - encouraging new work from a new generation of voices.
